Having worked in various health care capacities (Army Medic, EMT, CNA, LPN), becoming an RN just seemed like the next logical step for Julian Moreno.
**Earning his Degree While Working Was a Challenge**
“The biggest challenge for me was trying to earn a living and still have enough time to study. Working two different jobs during the week, taking caring of our parents, and still doing the course work was tough. Finding time to study was tough. I would study hard during my time off, before and after work, and during lunch. Just any spare time I could find to either open my study guide or login and check out my online course. I used to get the studying in when I could.”
**What He Liked about Achieve**
“The ease of having the information condensed in one small book was great. Everything I really needed to know was presented in the free ebook and during the classes. The PowerPoint slides and everything they give you just really help you prepare for the exam at the end. I always passed the exams on the first go round, without much trouble. **The Virtual Online Test Prep Classes Helped**
“The delivery of the virtual classes was great, and I could do it from home, which was really convenient. I was able to pick and choose the most convenient approach - Live online or Live in-person. It allowed me to be in the driver’s seat on choosing my path. The online learning format was really informative, and I could watch the virtual classes over again to make sure I really understood everything.”
**Moving Forward He Would Like to Work in a Hospital**
“I work in two nursing homes right now and love it, but I would love to get into more of a hospital setting on a daily basis. I passed my CPNE and recently passed the NCLEX and got my RN license. I really want to go on and work in a hospital. Someday I would also like to get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well. Who knows, maybe I could help teach courses someday for Achieve.
